Hospital where Kim Kardashian had baby reportedly axes employees for hacking her medical records

July 16, 2013

Kardashian had her baby -- rapper Kanye West is the father -- on June 15. The Times cites a Cedars-Sinai Hospital spokeswoman as both declining to identify exactly whose records were hacked, and also saying the victims were duly notified by the hospital about the breach. Meanwhile, TMZ reports exclusively that Kardashian told the website she was, indeed, contacted [read] by the hospital, regarding a breach of security and protocol related to her medical records. Sources told the website the phone call from Cedars-Sinai confirmed Kardashian family suspicions there were leaks originating from the hospital, since various media reports regarding her newborn contained publicly un-released information about the top-secret birth. Kardashian was reportedly happy to hear from the hospital regarding the security breach, according to TMZ, and glad about the dismissals. In its Sunday story regarding the Cedars-Sinai dismissals, The Times references a similar, 2008 scandal at UCLA Health System, in which workers reportedly snooped into the medical records of Britney Spears, Farah Fawcett, and Maria Shriver, among others. One former UCLA Health System worker, according to The Times, was even convicted of selling medical fodder to celebrity media outlets, including the National Enquirer.

Thought & prayers being sent their way.") go unnoticed: You see, Kardashian's late father, Robert , is perhaps best known for his role on the "dream team" of legal defense lawyers hired by O.J. Simpson during his successful 1995 bid for acquittal after he was accused of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson. Court papers claim Kardashians trumped up lawsuit for sake of reality show

Christopher Nolan needs to get on this storyline. It'd be perfect for Inception 2. Earlier this month, Kardashian and Kanye turned down a $3 million offer from an Australian magazine for an exclusive North West baby photo shoot. Turning down that kind of money for ridiculous publicity doesn't seem like a Kardashian move.

Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Real BABY PHOTO? Couple Turns Down $3 Million Baby North West Photo Deal

The Kardashians and Jenner filed a copyright infringement suit against Pearson-Kardashian in April, claiming that she unlawfully profited from Robert Kardashian's diary and photos from the Kardashians' pre-fame days by peddling them to the tabloids. But Pearson-Kardashian claims that the suit was filed for one reason: the June episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" titled "Enough Is Enough." And, "While Ellen is a private person with a career in the real estate industry, the Kardashians do not have any meaningful careers or professions." A spokeswoman for Kim Kardashian has not yet responded to TheWrap 's request for comment. Pearson-Kardashian's motion claims that she was contacted by a private investigator named Jake who offered to sell her damaging information about Kris Jenner. When she declined, Jake then threatened to give the information to the Kardashians, the motion says.
